The Blue Spark, Blue Snowball, and Rode VideoMic are all solid Microphones. This video is basically a sound test comparing the three. Each of them have their own advantages and disadvantages.
The Blue Spark has a great sound and uses an XLR connection, but the mic itself and the equipment needed can be pricey.
The Blue Snowball is cheaper, a great starter mic, but tends to pick up all the audio in a room so you have to be careful in your recording environment.
The Rode VideoMic is portable and mounts right on to the DSLR, but there is often hissing in the recording once you bring up the vocal track.
